Intensives

What is keeping you from being fully alive? From experiencing deep peace and joy?
Have you tried traditional therapy, and benefitted, but know you can go deeper?
If so, an intensive may be the way to go.
Intensives are alternatives to traditional therapy. These are extended sessions using including EMDR and/or psychedelic medicine to maximize healing. Depending on the structure, intensives can be offered in a retreat style with à la carte services such as massage, Reiki or labyrinth sessions.
Mini intensives
2-3 hour therapy sessions offered on a monthly basis. These sessions
may be gentler on your nervous system than hourly sessions. Mini intensives allow you
to build trust and provide time to dive deep into your healing process. Mini intensives
are typically not covered or reimbursed by insurance.
Intensive trauma therapy: 3-5 full consecutive days of intensive trauma therapy. These
sessions are structured to support deep healing, and to focus on specific goals. With
trust and intention, the possibilities are endless.
Psychedelic Intensives
You may have read about the healing potential of psychedelic medicines. These
medicines allow people to access a “non-ordinary” state in which deep healing is
possible. Ready to learn more? Please schedule a consultation. While not all medicines
are available at this time, I can support preparation and integration sessions and offer
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Cannabis Assisted Psychotherapy. If you have a
particular need or goal please reach out to schedule a consultation session.
Psychedelic intensives can be combined with EMDR work.
EMDR Intensives
EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy technique
used to treat trauma-related mental health conditions. It involves focusing on memories
while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation to reprocess the trauma and
reduce its emotional impact. By reprocessing the trauma, you can reduce the distress,
anxiety, and other negative symptoms associated with difficult memories. This gentle
and effective approach can be combined with talk therapy and medicine sessions to
maximize healing.
What types of past experiences can intensives help with?
Intensives are proven to help with many types of early life events including:
- Sexual assault, physical assault, robbery, other crime
- Childhood abuse
- Bullying, discrimination, harassment
- Betrayal or abandonment
- Loss of a loved one or someone close to you
-Life-threatening illness or serious injury
- Medical traumas
- And much more
Doing an Intensive:
Please arrange a consultation to figure out if an intensive is the right fit for you; if it is not
the right fit, I can provide you with suggestions for other therapy options. Intensives are
structured to accomplish deep work efficiently.
